The Minister of National Education enters the Higher School of Entrepreneurship and Management in the register of non-state higher education institutions. On October 4, 1993, the first academic year of the newly established university is inaugurated in a rented auditorium on Rozbrat Street.

In agreement with AZS (the Academic Sports Association) theAcademy founded its Sports Club which consisted of 5 sections. As of 2014 the Academy has 24 disciplines, including: football,

The Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management acquired the rights to conduct studies on a Bachelor level in Finance and Accounting.
By the order of the Board of Trustees, the Academy added Professor Leon Kozminski to its name to become the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management.
The EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) awarded Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management with the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation. LKAEM is the only higher education institution in the Central and Eastern Europe region to be awarded this prestigious accreditation, which puts the Academy among the best business schools worldwide.
